IN CELEBRATION OF OUR 18th ANNIVERSARY

The Hudson Jazz Workshop is a weekend immersion in Jazz improvisation and composition, with two of today's leading practitioners of duo playing, Armen Donelian and Marc Mommaas. For 18 years each summer, we have offered a supportive and focused atmosphere conducive to intensive study and mutual encouragement, through individual and group instruction, jam sessions and a faculty/student concert. Enrollment is limited to 10 participants. Scholarship support is available. Wholesome meals are freshly prepared. This is a unique opportunity for musicians to freely convene, connect and collaborate without academic pressures or commercial distractions.

Our Special Guest in 2024 is Ed Neumeister, highly regarded trombonist, composer, improviser, bandleader, arranger and educator. Ed Neumeister’s profile is the result of long and deep experience. As a performer he has been at the forefront of creative music for more than 40 years developing a unique voice. Having also worked with high level classical orchestras and ensembles nurtured his focus on composing and conducting.
